I am working on a new project

Posted by jlopatin on 12th March 2010

My friend Jimmy is a very talented filmmaker. He is about to start shooting a new film entitled Drift. I am going to be doing some location recording, as well as the post production audio.

Here is the plot synopsis in Jimmy’s words:

“A visually hypnotic, character-based story about the chance encounter between two twentysomethings; strangers who have happened to ditch work on the very same Tuesday.”

He is still looking for production funding… Please click HERE if you would like more information on the film or how to contribute.

3-7-10 Downtown Chicago

Posted by jlopatin on 7th March 2010

I took a nice long walk around downtown today. All I had with me was my E-PL1 and 9-18mm lens. It was a little bit limiting, but not in a bad way. It is such a light kit compared to my usual array of lenses! I came across some very odd things during my travels today!

E-PL1 Test shots

Posted by jlopatin on 3rd March 2010

I got another new camera. This one is a Micro Four Thirds camera. It is the size of a point and shoot, with the same insides as my big camera. Both cameras can share the same lenses. The new one shoots high def video, too!

I’ve only taken a few shots so far, but I’m impressed:

More to come soon…
