This is going to be another terrain piece for the trailer park. It will have a chainlink fence on 3 sides. Since I am using plastic posts, I superglued plastic strips to the base. This allowed me to use plastic cement with the posts for a stronger bond.<\/p>\n

\"9-30-13-2\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Here are the posts glued into place. I was not too picky about size and angle as I want it to look dilapidated.<\/p>\n

\"9-30-13-3\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This piece is going to have an asphalt surface, so I coated the whole thing in fireplace grout. This accomplished 2 things: It added a nice asphalt like texture, and it both covered the plastic strips and strengthened the bonds to the posts. The back wall will be stone. There will be some sort of 2 part gate in the large open area at the front (probably chainlink as well)<\/p>\n

I did a rough covering on the bases of these pieces with concrete patch. They are supposed to look like concrete. The concrete patch is difficult to spread, and I was a little messy. It’s easy to clean up with a blade, or sanding. I may do a 2nd layer of it.<\/p>\n

\"9-30-13-5\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I was asked about the scale for the trailers. They are O-scale model train scenery. The doors are a little small, but it works well overall.<\/p>\n

Here is a close-up where you can see some of my little bullet marks. I used a drill to make the indentations, and then scored them with my knife. They may not look like real bullet holes, but it is a nice effect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
