On The Workbench

The stone wall has been built at the rear of the playground. it is made from styrofoam blocks I picked up at Michaels. I cut them to size using a serrated kitchen knife. wood glue holds them together. I also gouged out some scratches in the asphalt. Time to prime! I am going to prime and paint the playground equipment separate from the main piece, and attach them last. Notice the little half beads that I used to cap the fence posts.

There is a small pile of skulls as an homage to Terminator 2.

Here are the banner posts. There will be a canvas banner hanging from these poles. The black/tan area is the same width as my roads. The orange area will be covered in grass flock.

I started basecoating the pond. all the orange will be flocked. I just need to paint the rocks and trees, and glue the flock. Then it will be time to add green dyed water effects!

Here are the clotheslines. There will be sheets hanging from these to add soft cover. the whole thing will be flocked.

10-13-13-5

I made some good progress on the barn.

10-13-13-4

The windmill is almost fully basecoated and ready to age.

10-13-13-3

Same goes for the water tower.

I also started basecoating the trailers. They are going to be bright and colorful before being coated in dirt and rust.

  1. ‘There is a small pile of skulls as an homage to Terminator 2.’ and because Matt wouldn’t stop sending me youtube links of that scene until I did.
